  RE: Viltalise!
In addition to the annual programme of courses we welcomed for the first time this year ‘Vitalise’ (The Winged Fellowship Trust) an organisation that offers essential breaks for the disabled and their carers. A group of visually impaired students from all over the country enjoyed a weekend at the Studio where they created their own ceramic breakfast sets.
Tutored by Nick Inns and Sue, and assisted by Studio Students, this was two days filled with laughter and enthusiasm. Their creative understanding by touch and awareness of space was an education to us all.
No one knew each other, and the carers, one to each of the visually impaired, enjoyed the experience of helping those in need as well as gaining the opportunity to achieve something for themselves.
Their hand built ceramics, decorated with scraffito plants and shells were breathtaking. Vitalise has now booked to come twice next year!
